Ginny - Ephesians 2:11-12

S - Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “Uncircumcision” by the so-called “Circumcision,” which is performed in the flesh by human hands— remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

O - Christ gave hope to a people that only knew rules.

A - Today I want to focus on the words "formerly you." This gives me great hope! I am so glad God is a God that doesn't just leave us where we are at, but rather changes us and makes us better. I am so glad there is a "formerly you" because that means I am at a different spot now. I have left something behind and I have grown and changed to where I am now. I am seeing this change in my attitude. My attitude and annoyance level is something I was struggling with end of last year, but I can already see changes the Lord is making in this area of my life. This past weekend I was in a situation that I typically would have gotten very bitter over, but instead I prayed that I would see the good in the situation and that the Lord would make a way for it all to work out. He did! But more imporantly I learned a lot by stopping and praying and deciding not to head down the same path of a bad attitude. It's a small change, but it meant the world to me that I could see where the Lord was changing and teaching me. I praise Him that I am on the way to a "formerly me" place!

P - Lord thank You for never being done with us. Thank You for wanting us to get better. Thank You for how You are answering my prayers.
