Ginny - Ephesians 4:17-19

Good Morning Girlz!!! Oh I am so ready to start this week and get going with things! It should be a good one! Hope y'all have some fun plans too!

S - So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness.

O - The Gentiles had let sins come between them and their fellowship with the Lord. They had let the things of the world: impurity, greediness, hardness of heart, etc. become more important than the things of Christ. Paul is stating that as Christians we no longer walk that way. We leave those things behind. Our walk looks different.

A - You know at first I want to go, "Those crazy people! What were they thinking?!?" Obviously it must have been really bad what they were doing if there was a verse written about it...right? Well, you know what?...if someone was to write a verse about me it wouldn't look much prettier. Worry, glutony, pride, selfishness, stubborness. However, the thing to take away from this verse is not how bad the Gentiles were, but rather to change. To not walk in that way. How do I change? Stay in the light. Be in His Word. Talk to Him. Keep my mind pure.

P - Lord I pray that I may walk in a way that is an example of You. I will keep my mind on things of You. I will have patience. I will love. I will pray before I say a snappy comment. I will remember to give thanks in all circumstances.
