S - "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." 15:13
O - This is such a pretty verse! The words of hope, joy, peace, trust, overflow...they just all make me feel so good. I'm guessing Paul had a little more in mind than just a warm fuzzy on verse 13. I like how he said "may the God." I on my own strength can not obtain joy, peace, trust, and power. It is the Lord working in my life that brings those to reality.
A - Fill me with all joy and peace...overflow with hope. I want to surrender daily to the Lord so that my life is a reflection of this verse. I want this verse to be what my life is all about!
P - Lord I surrender to you my efforts of striving after the temporal things of this world. I ask that verse 13 becomes the picture of my life.
S - "The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you." 16:20
A - Persevere! Be obedient and the Lord will fight for you.
O - There are times where it is easy to give up or give in. Stay strong! When we honor the Lord's commandments, He will prepare a way for us. He is on our side!
P - Lord, I ask for perseverance to keep running the race. I ask for renewed strength and determination to be obedient to Your Word.
