S - The one who says he is in the Light and yet hates his brother is in the darkness until now. The one who loves his brother abides in the Light and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But the one who hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
O - Two words come to mind: LOVE and SIGHT. Love because that is the best way to show we are walking in the light, and sight because light makes it easier to see.
A - I want to love. Love even when I don't feel like it, or don't think the person deserves it. Love is what Jesus would do, and I want to be like Him. I love verse 11 because it plainly states the number one reason to walk in the light - you can see! Darkness is just that -- dark! We can't see what's in the dark. We trip in the dark. We hurt ourselves in the dark. We have no idea what's going on in the dark. Light lets us see!
P - Love and sight. Lord please grow both of these characteristics in my life that You may receive the glory. I love You.
One more day till our fun weekends! Karlyn & Jenifer - y'all will have to update us on how homecoming goes. I saw on fb where the Westmorelands were going to be there. Amber & Cindy hope all is going well and y'all have some fun plans this weekend. I'll be cheering the Red Raiders to victory. Next Saturday is my first 1/2 marathon - way pumped! Everyone have a GREAT day!!!
So excited for your 1/2 marathon I'll be in a 5K that day so when I'm done I'll keep praying for your legs:)
