Good Morning Girlz!!!
S - Indeed my feet from stumbling - Psalm 56:13
O - This verse makes me think of those times when we are standing at a cross roads with two directions we can choose from. Which one will I take? Will I wallow in what went wrong, or will I be grateful? Teetering back and forth, until I stop, look to my Father and remember He has given me a grateful heart. He plants my feet, I voice my thankfulness to Him, and walk soundly.
A - Last night the evening went nothing as planned. I was sitting on my couch at one point and I thought of this study and told myself, "You can either look at how this mess up is going to throw everything off, or you can find the good in it and be thankful." There was nothing I could do to change anything, and it made for a better attitude looking at the good things that can be had from the situation.
P - Lord, thank You for continuing to put this study into action in my life. Please continue to teach me to have a grateful heart all of the time.
EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!

Karlyn: Gratitude Day 14
S - Psalm 56...vs 12 I will fulfill my vows to you O God and will offer a sacrifice of thanks for your help.
O - When I'm fulfilling my responsibilities I'm much more able to be grateful even if it is a frustrating time. When I'm not faithful to the Lord good or bad times I'm seeing that gratitude doesn't happen when I'm not fulfilling my job. He is an gracious God and provides even when I'm not being responsible. He always fulfills his vow to me.
A - We are definitely in the midst of crisis with ISAAC blowing over us. But I've seen much less stress on our guys this time than ever before. I think we are all a little bit closer to God and know that he will provide hurricane or no hurricane! I'm grateful that the winds did die down and the rain wasn't torrential! I'm thankful for wonderful friends that come and help so that cutting can keep flowing. I'm grateful for grain bins and new to us combine and grain cart. I'm grateful that I got to spend time with mom, Ryan, and the kids on my birthday, and even do a little shopping by myself:) I'm grateful for old friends who still love me;)
P - Lord thank you for always knowing the future and what we need for protection and provision. You are an awesome God and I'm go grateful that I depend on you and not people!

Ginny - Gratitude Day 13
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KARLYN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be sure and have a really fun day!!!
S - O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; Psalm 43:3
O - God wants to lead us, and He gives all the tools needed to follow him.
A - I'm really in to the election this year. Everything I read, every thing I hear talks about leadership. I'm so glad I'm not deciding who is going to be leader of my life. I'm so thankful that I already have the most qualified leader as the ruler of my life.
P - Lord, this morning I want to pray for our nation and our leaders. I pray You give them wisdom and direction. That they follow Your leadership.

Karlyn: Gratitude Day 13
S - Psalm 43:1-5 vs 5 Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again- my Savior and my God!
O- I love that we can rejoice in him even when we are sad or discouraged, depressed, or just pitiful!
A - My favorite Psalm is Psalm 100, my fave verse is verse 5 For the Lord is good, his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations KJV
For the Lord is good.
His unfailing love continues forever,
and his faithfulness continues to each generation. NLT
P - Lord help me to praise you during every situation and feeling that I have today!
Pray for Rachel's co-worker Maggie, her baby was 2 weeks from delivery and there was no heartbeat yesterday. This is the 3rd baby she has lost and she and her husband aren't believers!
Praying for you Jenn through this crazy storm!

Ginny - Gratitude Day 12
Good Morning Girlz!!!
S - Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers 3 John 2
O - I do believe having a happy heart affects our physical health.
A - A person who sees the good in things and finds things to be thankful for is going to be less likely to be gloomy. Focusing on the bright side of things frees us from getting bogged down and weakened by the alternatives. Thanking God for all He has done and will do is medicine to the soul.
I have really enjoyed this study so far. When I started it I felt like I had a pretty good grasp on being thankful, but I have since learned I have much work to do. I can be thankful, it's the perseverance part that hangs me up. I am not to just be thankful some of the time or when I feel like it. I am to be thankful all the time. Continually. Even when I don't feel like. There is always something to be thankful for. My selfishness creeps in and bam! All perspective goes out the door and I find myself whining and only seeing things from my point of view. Being thankful is not hard for me; it's doing it all the time that is hard. I want to work on being thankful even when I think I deserve a pity party. Thankful all the time.
P - Lord thank You for all You have shown me so far in this study and all that I have yet to learn.

Good Morning! Please keep prying that the hurricane dies down or goes east fast! Our guys are working like crazy to get the rice out so it won't go down. Also pray for our combine this morning, couple of things weren't working last night when they finished that are very important to work today!
Thank you Lord for implements so that they aren't harvesting by hand:)
Still praying for Nancy!
S - 3 John 1-4, vs 2 Beloved I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health even soul my soul prospers
O - When others around you are in good health you also take on that characteristic. When those around you are in bad health or making poor health choices it can affect me also.
A - These 12 days have helped me. I'm more calm, patient, more aware of how exceedingly blessed I am, the little annoyances haven't annoyed me as much, when the annoyances creep in I've been able to wash it away with Gratitude.
P - Lord you are worthy of more praise and gratitude than I can sit here and give. Help me today to continue to stay grateful even when a frustrating annoying situation pops up. HElpmy heart to be grateful first and then move on. Thank you for teaching us how to take care of our health just by being grateful!

Ginny - Gratitude Day 10
Good Morning Girlz!!!
It's benign!!!!!!! Nancy's surgery was Friday and they took a small sample to test and the surgeon said all looked good. PRAISE THE LORD!!! Official results come back in about 8 more days. THANK Y'ALL for praying for Nancy. It couldn't have turned out any better!
S - Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard,
And which have not entered the heart of man,
All that God has prepared for those who love Him. 1 Corinthians 2:9
O - We can not fathom all that the Lord has in store for us. His thoughts are higher. His ways are higher.
A - My list of unseens:

- protection when I run - both physically & saftety wise.
Karlyn: Gratitude Day 10
Good Monday Morning!
S - I Corinthians 2:6-11 Vs. 10 But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God's deep secrets.
O - I'm thankful that God doesn't reveal everything to us all at once. He knows exactly how much reality we can handle each day. Sometimes I can't handle on my own what he shows me and reminds me that I can only survive with him.
A - I'm grateful that we are overall healthy, God eases me through the day because nothing ever goes as planned:), grateful for electricity and water, no car payments (right now), DVD players when the DISH isn't working, medicine for teething babies, phones and internet that keep me connected to family and friends that don't live close, meteorologists that can keep us informed on where hurricanes are (please pray it doesn't hit us), grocery stores so I don't have to grow my own food
P - God thank you for all the little things that add up to big things that you provide all day long that protects and provides for us. I'm so glad I'm not in charge because it would be a mess!
Praying for Nancy again today!

Ginny - Gratitude Day 9
Good Morning Girlz!
S- Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness 2 Corinthians 9:10
O - When we give God blesses us as well.
A - We are putting meals together for Nancy. Buying extra groceries this pay period, meant budgeting more for groceries, which meant spending less money in some other category. It would be easy to get frustrated and simply focus on the money side of things, but it's a lot more fun to focus on the good...I get to bake. It's helping them out. I'd rather be the one preparing the meals instead of being the one in surgery, and at least there is money there to pull from to cover groceries. And isn't it nice to have friends that we can do nice things for.
P - Lord, thank you for opportunities to bless others. Because You have loved me, I want to love others and meet their needs.
Nancy's surgery is at 11:30 today. Thanks for all the prayers! They mean so much!
Everyone be sure to have a great weekend!!!

Karlyn: Gratitude Day 9
Happy Good Friday Morning!
Well we've almost made it through a full week of school. I think we will survive this new way of life. No plans for the weekend except have fun! The guys are cutting rice so there will be a little combine riding too. We are praying that the rain we are supposed to get this weekend misses us so harvest doesn't come to a stop!
S - 2 Corinthians 9:11 Yes you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.
O - I noticed that this verse says "and when WE take your gifts".
A - I enjoy giving gifts and making gifts for others and it's hard for me not to want praise and thanks for the gift instead of giving God the glory for giving me the ability to give to someone. I think I need to allow others to take the gifts for me more often so that I don't get the praise or want the praise! It wasn't mine to begin with because it's all a gift from God to begin with!
P - Lord help me to continue to be grateful and generous for what you've given me and in turn can give to others. Help me to be a good steward of the things you've given me and not want more for myself!

Ginny - Gratitude Day 8
Good Morning Girlz!!!
S - God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. James 4:6b
O - Lord please humble me.
A - I do my fair share of whining. Here is a list of a few recent whines:
- people not showing up for work
- coordinating schedules
- gas so expensive
P - Lord, hold my tongue that what comes out is from a grateful heart and not a selfish heart.

S - 8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.
O- when my heart is divided I can't be grateful, I'm probably whining.
A - What have I whined about?
-getting out of bed
-running
-loosing my room at work
-sinus problems that make me tired
-no help cleaning up
-food left out and not put up
writing it down makes it look very foolish
P - God please stop me when I begin to whine today and help me think about what I'm grateful for. I'm grateful for another day of healthy life!

Karlyn: Gratitude Day 7
GOOD AFTERNOON!!!!
S - Luke 17: 16 He fell to the ground at Jesus' feet, thanking him for what he had done. This man was a Samaritan.
O - Have I ever fallen to the ground in gratitude for what he has done for me? I've fallen to the ground in need of help, but I need some more gratitude moments with him.
A - I haven't yet shared that gratitude with someone today so still working on that.
P - Lord I am grateful for your patience with me, thank you for slowly teaching me how to become more like you!
Praying for Nancy and her family
Pray for my friend Sarah Smith. Her 2nd child is almost a year old and she has some serious developmental delays that they are trying to figure out. They don't know what has caused this or where it is from. She's noticed issued since Londyn was 4 months old but just in the past few months they started speech, OT, and PT. Sarah is worn out physically and mentally. She and her family are precious. Pray that she can find another Christian woman who is going through this or has gone through this that she can talk to. I know that would help.

Karlyn: Gratitude Day 6
S - Romans 11:36 For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to Him forever! Amen.
O - EVERYTHING comes from him good and bad. If it's bad he wants to bring glory to himself by turning into good. If it's good he wants to make it greater so that it will glorify him. Everything has a purpose and reason.
A - I have to be thankful for all the good and bad because if God gives it to me he wants me to use it for his good so that others will grow in him or come to know him. I need to change my perspective and not be selfish and pitiful when the bad happens but think how can God use this to make me better for him!
TOP TEN Spiritual Blessings
1. Salvation - I can never earn it, never loose it, never change it, I'm in his hands always!
2. Ryan and kids - there's too much to write
3. My parents - taught me huge lessons that are paying off now that I didn't understand growing up!
4. My sisters and sis n laws- unconditional love, encouragement, fun, thoughtfulness
5. Church family - have had some huge pits, valleys, plateus, and highs. God has taught me great lessons thru the bad and good and if I had given up I wouldn't be as close to Him today.

7. Mother n law - she has been an amazing mentor, helper, and also extends unconditional love
8. Ginny, Cindy, Amber, Jenifer - for about 17 years I have learned so much from all of you that I could never repay. Not only learned but experienced and watched in you. You all inspire me to be a better Woman in Christ! Wow we r OLD!!!!
9. BeautiControl - the women I have encountered have given me Joy, sadness, sorrow, frustrations, spiritual mentors, and friendships that I wouldn't want to have missed out on. (and the best skin of my life:)
10. Prayer - the ability to go to God anytime I want baffles me. I will never understand how he knows all and sees all before we pray to him but I'm so thankful that I don't have to go thru a priest or sacrifice an animal to get him to hear me!
P - Lord I am speechless so please listen to my heart. I AM GRATEFUL FOR YOU!

Hello ladies!
I am so thankful God knows what we need before we do! I am really enjoying the devotionals on gratitude. Even though I haven't been posting, I have been reading them and following the posts :). The truth is, life is hard...as you all know. With the good comes the bad and the bad with the good...it's just part of life that is to be expected. And somewhere in the midst of it all I must confess that I have become a negative, critical, and even at times bitter person...which I am not proud of or even like. So these devotionals have been what I needed to remind me of the blessings of the Lord. So I ask that you pray for my attitude and for me & Jared as we focus on the Lord...His goodness and blessings!

Good Morning Girlz!!! I know I keep saying it, but this study keeps getting better and better! I am loving every day! So good!
S - Now one of them...Luke 17:15
O - Oh how I want to be the one that takes the time to come back and thank Jesus!
A - This morning the blessing of my church is on my mind. They treat me like family, and that means the world to me. They also take you as you are. You don't have to be perfect or wear the most stylish outfit or sing the song perfectly. They love you just the same. They also don't pretend to have it all together. They are real. No one flaunts about, they just come together because they love Jesus and love His people. Man it is good to be in a church like that!
P - Lord there are so many blessings You have given me, but this morning I specifically thank You for my church. Thank You for leading me there and thank You for the people that are there. What a huge blessing it is in my life!
S - Now one of them...Luke 17:15
O - Oh how I want to be the one that takes the time to come back and thank Jesus!

Ginny - Gratitude Day 6
Good Morning Girlz!!! I absolutely LOVE this study! Last night I was driving to see a friend and I just didn't want to go. There were things I needed to get done at the house, I wanted to get to bed early, blah, blah, blah, but instead I found myself driving north of town for a multi-hour visit. On my drive, I told myself to start naming all the good things about this lady and getting to be around her. I made a list of thankfuls. It helped. So, this study is sinking in - yea!
Heard from Nancy yesterday and the oncologist wanted to look at things again on Wednesday, so surgery has been postponed to hopefully Thursday. Still no news on what this is. I'll keep y'all posted and thank you for praying!
S - Oh, the depth of the riches - Romans 11:33a
O - There is no limit to how the Lord blesses us.
A - Today's assignment is pretty deep. I feel like I need to go away to a cabin and pray and fast before I come up with a list like this. I have 10 this morning, but I want to spend some more time thinking on this tonight and see what other thoughts come to mind.
1. Salvation - the promise of eternity in Heaven
2. Peace - I don't have to worry or fear
3. Provision - He has given me so many tangible things down here on Earth to make life easier & comfortable.
4. Companionship - He is my friend. He never leaves me. He walks with me every day.
5. Delights - All those intangible things that make me so happy.
6. His Word - His teachings
7. Patience - He doesn't give up on me, no matter how many times it takes to get it right.
8. Forgiveness - Nothing I can do will make Him turn away
9. Abundance - He has made life so good. He has protected and blessed at every turn.
10. Love - Because He loves me I know it will be O.K.
P - Lord, oh how deep and wide is Your love for us. Thank you! I could not make it through life without the above list, and yet I am so undeserving of each one of them. Thank you for Your grace that keeps lavishing goodness upon me. You are worthy to be praised!

Ginny - Gratitude Day 5
Good Morning Girlz!!! Hope everyone had a good weekend! When is the official first day of school for everyone? I think kids here go back the 27th.
quick update on Nancy - we texted on Friday and then I got to talk to her again for a quick minute at church yesterday. So much still unknown. It is a large tumor in her abdominal cavity, but no one is saying for sure cancer or not cancer. My brain just keeps thinking, if it was cancer or could be cancer just take it out already! One doctor mentioned something about maybe sending her to MD Anderson, but that was not a definite. She hopefully will find out more answers today and surgery is still scheduled for tomorrow. Lots and lots of prayers are still needed. I told her I prayed for her the whole time I was running on Saturday, and since I'm so slow that ended up being a long time! (see there are good things about being slow - more prayer time) We just laughed and I told her not to worry on Saturday mornings she would be covered!
S - always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; Ephesians 5:20
O - ALWAYS for EVERYTHING. Always give thanks for everything.
A - I like the idea of "if tomorrow's supply depended on today's thanksgiving, how much would I have tomorrow?" Here is my list of "little things:"
a comfy bed and a good ceiling fan; a supply of good face cleaning supplies and makeup; the basic tools to help me get ready in the morning like hair dryer, curling iron, etc; my coffeemaker; my blender that I make bfast smoothies in; food to put together a good lunch with; a cute 31 lunch bag; a closet full of clothes and shoes to chose from; good music to listen to in the mornings and all the electronics that I can listen to it on
These are just a few from this morning that I can think of. This list could go on and on and on. It truly is all from Him.
P - Lord, help me never take for grantit all that I have because of You. You have supplied me with every comfort beyond what I deserve. I want to be a good steward of what You have given me. Use me and the things You have given me to bringYou glory & minister to others.

Karlyn: Gratitude Day 5
Well, I just left Sawyer at Kindergarten! Just a couple of tears but I made it! He just wanted me to leave so he could move on and color! One of the things I admire about him is being able to adjust to new situations without stressing (as long as I give him a little prep beforehand and very little fuss over him).
S - Ephesians 5:20 always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father.
O - Always- means to me that everything good or bad I need to thank him for first because he can turn the bad to good and the good to great! Most of all I need to thank him first because he is Jehovah Jireh God our PROVIDER!
A -When I start my day by saying "thank you God for a new day" before I even open my eyes it makes the tone of my day go so much better.
Littles I'm thankful for: electricity (that's really a BIG), being able to use my phone for an alarm and waking up to happy noises instead of awful alarm clock sounds!, Karen b/c she helps me with all my littles that add up to bigs, dishwashers, baby powder so that I don't have to wash my hair every day:)
P - God I praise you and thank you for all the little conveniences you give me so that I can feel a little less stress help me to continue to look for ways to be grateful instead of whining and being selfish!

Ginny - Gratitude Day 4
Good Morning Girlz!!! I am loving this study! I think it might be my favorite one we've done so far! So good and simple.
Hope everyone has a fun weekend planned. I have visitation for a friend's mom tonight, 8 miles in the morning (and we're doing hills)!!!, driving to Plainview after that to visit my old Bible Study teacher from FBC, and getting to see the new Meryl Streep movie with some girlfriends tomorrow night back here in Lubbock. Lots of fun stuff!
I text Nancy last night and she is having a CT done right now. The surgeon will be waiting to see the results and then they may go ahead and do surgery today depending on the results. Nancy said it had really grown. So, thank y'all, thank y'all, thank y'all for praying! As I hear things I'll update y'all!
S - Psalm 103:2 - ...and forget none of His benefits
Pslam 103:5 - Who satisfies your years with good things...
O - I am amazed at how the Lord's goodness never ends. He just keeps dishing out blessings and more blessings. I think about some friendships I have had in the past where I got so tired of being the one who always gave, and eventually I decided I couldn't do it anymore and that friendship eventually dwindled. God doesn't do that. He doesn't have a limit. He keeps giving.
A - Gifts from God: salvation, His Word, protection, a job I love, provisions to live a more than comfortable life (a house, furniture, hot water, a bed, a TV, dishes, food in the pantry, plants in the flower beds, gas to drive my car, a car that works, cute clothes), family, friends, a wonderful church family, forgiveness, health, rain
Gifts from others: my boss does so much for me!!!; prayers of friends; Athena (my sewing friend) gives of her time, craft supplies, and food to feed me supper each week; my friend Aime Smith is always brightening my day with timely texts or small care packages in the mail; my friends Kim & Kyla who I get together with each weekend - they are so good just to shoot the breeze with me and laugh or cry or vent or whatever else we need to do :); Mrs. Debbie at church who truly treats me like her daughter
I'll keep thinking and will have to come back and add more in the comments :))
P - Lord, THANK YOU for Your limitless gifts and thank you for those people You put in my life that also bless me in so many ways.

Praying for Nancy, Anthony and the kids!
S-Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
2 Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me.
S-Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
2 Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me.
O - "my whole heart" I don't know if I've ever truly praised him with my whole heart and that is something I long to do.
"forget", I forget way too often and get caught up with what's not going my way instead of being grateful.
A - Gifts From God:
salvation, peace, family, health, home, job, church family,
Gifts From Others:
home, lasting friendships, free babysitting, gift certificate for a massage:), understanding when I'm crazy and frantic and forgetful,
P - God thank you for gifts from you and gifts from others. Lord I long to praise you with my whole heart. Help me to keep you first and not let all the other creep in so that I can praise you with my whole heart.
I'll keep adding to my list today!

Ginny - Gratitude Day 3
Good Morning Girlz!!!
I talked to my friend Nancy for a long time at church last night. My heart is so full for her right now. I would so appreciate it, if y'all would remember her in prayer. Nancy is exactly one month younger than me. She has 2 kids. Riley is going to be in 3rd and Ryker is starting kindergarten. Nancy's husband is named Anthony. They are a great family. Monday they found a large mass starting at Nancy's bellybutton and going over 6 inches and down another 5 inches. It's like a rectangle. They are not sure what it is or what caused it, but they really don't think it's cancer. As of right now her surgery will be Tuesday the 21st. It's pretty major surgery and she will have to be in the hospital a number of days. If y'all would pray for her. As y'all could imagine, she's scared of all the unknowns and she's concerned for her kids and Anthony. All of this is happening while trying to get ready to go back to school, and she's going to have to miss Ryker's kindgergarten open house. I wish y'all could meet Nancy. Y'all would love her! She's pretty quiet, real stylish, beautiful long brown hair, and has a petite little figure. I first met Nancy when we were roomates for a women's conference in Oklahoma City. Since then the four of us that roomed together have gotten together for girls nights out and shopping trips. She's just a lot of fun. I'll definitely keep y'all posted. Thanks so much!
S - Oh give thanks to the Lord for He is good, for His lovingkindness is everlasting. Psalm 107:1
O - The Lord has not changed. He is good from the beginning to the end. His love for me does not fade. For that I am thankful!
A - What was my life like before He redeemed me? Jesus is my reason. The reason for getting up and doing each day. Before Him, there was no reason to giving my best, loving others, serving others, telling others about Him. He gives meaning to what I do and who I am.
How did God bring me to the end of myself, to the place where I cried out to Him for mercy? I believed. I believed what the Bible was telling me and I wanted to make that known. I wanted to live a life obedient to Him and not to myself.
What has changed since He delivered you from your slavery to sin? I have joy. Even when things don't make sense. He gives me peace.
Since my initial salvation there have been many other times when I cry out to the Lord for help, comfort, and direction. In times of lonliness, He is who I confide in. When I struggle with making the dollar stretch, He is my provider. When I mess up, He is my teacher. When I'm tempted, He is my stronghold.
HE is good, HIS loving kindness never ends!
P - Lord, thank You for being everything I need, right when I need it. Thank You for loving me, never giving up on me, for being so good to me.

O - I love the word lovingkindness!
A - So my salvation story goes something like this...at the age of 8 I was shuffled through with a bunch of kids and was read the sinners prayer and asked to repeat it and BAM I was saved, but I knew I wasn't. It wasn't my time yet. So from 8-13 God began to work on me and call me to Him. At 13 I became very aware that my sin needed to be forgiven and I was separated from God. At school with my principal I prayed and accepted Christ! So from 13-18 I didn't grow much AT ALL. It wasn't until OBU that God began revealing to me just how much I was missing in my relationship with HIm and I begin to really desire His word. Now in the past 5 years he has been doing major reconstruction on my heart and helping me to see the lies I have believed and who I really am in him and just how amazingly beautiful and powerful he is.
P - Lord I'm so grateful for your lovingkindness and that you gave it to me and saved me from what I deserved. Help me today to share my salvation with someone else!

Ginny - Gratitude Day 2
Good Afternoon!
S - giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.
O - I like how it says "the inheritance of the saints in Light." Doesn't that just sound wonderful! To live in the bright light of Heaven with Jesus surrounded by streets of gold. That's more than enough to be thankful for!
A - Being thankful puts things in perspective. Since last night I have had 4 friends, all around my age, deal with major health problems and one lose a parent. It's not easy stuff. My heart is very heavy for all 4 of them.
I have also had a retarded day at work. You know those days when everything you touch messes up? I'm having one of those today. Closings aren't happening. Overnight mail is not getting delivered. Invoice numbers aren't matching up. Just frustrating! Then I think about my 4 friends dealing with sooooo much more than office details and I'm put in my place very quickly. Heaven is enough. Knowing we get to spend eternity with Jesus is all I need.
P - I ask that y'all pray for my 4 friends. Sarah is fighting cancer (she is in her mid 30's), Lynette is having kidney failure and not walking down the right path (she is 35), Nancy is having surgery next week to remove a mass above her stomach (she is 34), and Jason just lost his mom in a car accident (he is 29).
Lord, I thank You for the promise of Heaven, and I pray you wrap Your arms around Sarah, Lynette, Nancy, and Jason that Your goodness would be ever present to them right now.

Hope the Southern Living Party was SUPA fun!
Can I just tell you that God's Word has been more powerful to me this last week than ever. He is getting a hold of my heart and sin in so many ways. I'm so thankful and grateful for this AWESOME GOD I serve and love.
S - Colossians 1:12–14 Colossians 1:15–22 Colossians 2:9–15 Colossians 3:1–11
WOW never thought about gratitude like I should and now I have a better biblical view!
O - Gratitude should flow from this: I am "qualified to share in His inheritance", I am rescued from darkness and transferred to His kingdom, I have redemption from sins, He created all things through HIm and for Him, He is the head of the body, I'm made complete in HIm, "circumcised without hands" so I'm not under the Law!, I was dead in my sins but now made alive in Him and my debt is canceled!, He has triumphed over evil, "Christ is all and in all"
A - Now what do I have to complain about and be ungrateful about when I have a correct view of myself and God! I deserve death and punishment and to live under the Law, but I don't have to because Christ REDEEMED me from ALL of it....I.AM.GRATEFUL!
P - God forgive me of my complaining and whining and ungrateful heart. You have blessed me more than I deserve. Thank you for being a loving Creator. God I am so sorry and shameful and repentant for my ungrateful heart!

Ginny - Gratitude Day 1
Hello!!!!!!! So excited about this study!!! Karlyn, thanks again for telling us about it. I'm praying for you and Sawyer and rice and grain and corn! I'm having a Southern Living home show at my house tonight. Wish y'all were all here to stop by. It's gonna be fun!
S - Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. Col 3:17
O - I think being thankful makes all the "doing" a little more easier. I think of my mom when I think of a thankful heart. She's always so happy and optimistic, because she always sees things through the brighter side. I remember growing up and struggling with my weight she would tell me, "I would rather my battle be weight-loss than many other things such as illnesses or handicaps." She found something to be thankful for even in the gloomiest of situations.
A - The study asked us to rate our gratitude quotient. Can I be all 4?!?! There are days when I totally classify as a whiner and then there are many times that even in the simplest of moments my heart overflows with thankfulness to the Lord. Just the other day I sat down at my kitchen table to eat supper and I said out loud to the Lord, "thank You for making this so much fun." Life is so good and it is all because of Him. I'm not 100% consistent, but I have learned that being thankful is much better than the alternative.
P - Lord I thank You for the opportunity to do this study with these girls. I pray that my eyes and heart and mind would be open to all that You want to teach me through this study.

Karlyn: Gratitude Day 1
We take Sawyer to his school today for open house! I've been a crazy woman this last week. I'm so anxious and uptight about him starting school. Not because I'm worried about him but because I will miss him soooooooo much. Please pray for me! I want these last few days not to speed by and I don't want to be a mess on Monday:) I never knew how hard this would be.
We had a little wind damage to our rice yesterday through the rain storm. It seems to happen every time just before we are ready to harvest. We have a new to us combine this year so I would appreciate your prayers for harvest.
-all equipment including trucks and trailers work with NO breakdowns!
-grain doesn't shatter and the yields are excellent
-this is our first year for corn so just pray they do everything correctly:)
-get periodic rains with NO wind or flooding
Amber still praying for the decision y'all are making!
S - Colossians 3:12-17 ...and always be thankful...Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts...whatever you do or say...give thanks through Him to God the Father.
O - I'm not always quick to give thanks in every situation. I can be a complainer pretty fast. I do know when I stop and focus on thanking God for the little and big things and sing to Him that it does give my attitude a fast adjustment.
A - He's been testing me a lot lately with my pride and my attitude. Today when the complainer trys to rise I will stop and become thankful for everything I can think of and then my pride and stinkin attitude will lessen!!!!
P - God I'm so thankful that you are patient with me! Thank you for being so loving and merciful with all my sins. HElp me today to cease the complaining and be so grateful for everything you allow me to have. be, and experience.
