Hello!!!!!!! So excited about this study!!! Karlyn, thanks again for telling us about it. I'm praying for you and Sawyer and rice and grain and corn! I'm having a Southern Living home show at my house tonight. Wish y'all were all here to stop by. It's gonna be fun!
S - Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. Col 3:17
O - I think being thankful makes all the "doing" a little more easier. I think of my mom when I think of a thankful heart. She's always so happy and optimistic, because she always sees things through the brighter side. I remember growing up and struggling with my weight she would tell me, "I would rather my battle be weight-loss than many other things such as illnesses or handicaps." She found something to be thankful for even in the gloomiest of situations.
A - The study asked us to rate our gratitude quotient. Can I be all 4?!?! There are days when I totally classify as a whiner and then there are many times that even in the simplest of moments my heart overflows with thankfulness to the Lord. Just the other day I sat down at my kitchen table to eat supper and I said out loud to the Lord, "thank You for making this so much fun." Life is so good and it is all because of Him. I'm not 100% consistent, but I have learned that being thankful is much better than the alternative.
P - Lord I thank You for the opportunity to do this study with these girls. I pray that my eyes and heart and mind would be open to all that You want to teach me through this study.
