Karlyn: Gratitude Day 20

Happy Monday Morning!!!!  Hope your weekend was amazing!!!
I'm down to my last 12 weeks before the 1/2 marathon!  I'm praying for endurance because right now my body is screaming awful things at me:)

S - I timothy 3:14-15 But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught.  you know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.  You have been taught the Holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.

O -  "I can trust those who taught me from childhood!"  I've not been grateful enough for this.  I'm seeing more and more what a privilege I had growing up with the parents and family that I had.  If not for their strong desire to serve God and raise me in church and spiritually at home I can't imagine where I would be today!

A - Ryan - grateful for his patience with me and others
Sawyer - grateful for his honesty with me (even is it's after he has done something wrong)
Knox - grateful for his uniqueness and his determination with every task and new thing that comes
his way!  That boy has some energy!
Thea - grateful that she is such an easy happy baby!
Walter - grateful for his heart for missions
Karen - grateful that she treats me like her own and lets me invade her house all the time when I
need to be around people because I can't stand not to be around people!
Rachel - grateful for her ability to push me spiritually and not let me get lazy!  And her friendship!
Jonathan - grateful that he and Ryan actually get along now and for the love he shows my kids.

This is more than my immediate family but they are who I'm around the most.  I do have an family member that I won't list that I do have a hard time with.  Our relationship is increasingly getting more complicated.  I love her very very much but we don't see things the same anymore.  I am grateful for the relationship we built before all this controversy and I will continue to be grateful that we don't see each other daily.  That keeps our relationship healthy!  I'm grateful for her unconditional love even though we don't agree all the time.

P - Lord I praise you for putting me in a family that loves you and has helped me grow in you.  Thank you for protecting and providing for me!

  1. Karlyn, thank you for being honest about your family member you have a hard time with. This is something I struggle with and I will be praying for us both as we deal with our situations.

Very excited about your 1/2 marathon! 12 weeks away should be great weather! My 1/2 is a week from this Sunday. It will probably still be a little warm. We did 12 miles Saturday and my body didn't like it. Lots of recovery time was needed! I'll be praying for these next 12 weeks!
