Sorry for being MIA. I've been reading I just couldn't get to a computer! Ginny I'm so sorry for the drought. I understand how that can get people down! Praying for rain and a good wet winter! Harvest is in full swing here. This is our first year for corn and it's been crazy! We've never had truckers come in and haul out our crops and that's what they are doing with corn. It's so interesting, they fight to get in line for a load. Ryan has met some really neat guys.
Isaac made ALL our rice go down so that means double the time to cut. It's tedious and it makes Ryan very tired at the end of the day, but I'm so thankful that they have all had good attitudes through all of it!
S - I Corinthians 10: 1-13 V10 And don’t grumble as some of them did, and then were destroyed by the angel of death.
O - God is pretty serious about dealing with whining and grumbling!
A - If there is one thing in this world that drives me crazy is whining. My kids know there are serious consequences if I hear it and I really can't stand it when I hear adults whining. But then there is me. I grumble all the time over everything. So why doesn't my own whining drive me nuts? Since we've started this Gratitude challenge I've been much more aware of my grumbling and have tried to stop it before it starts. I'm blessed with WAY more than I ever deserve and have no need to whine!
Things that are hard for me that I whine about...
-Being a single parent this time of year
-Paying bills
-Overeating
-People not doing things the way I think it should be done
Gratitude side says...
-God gives me extended family and friends that are here to help!
-We both have jobs and the ability to budget
-I have never gone hungry so I should treat food as a blessing and not consume it like a crazy person
-I can learn from others how they do things and respect their decisions and follow what Christ asks me to do!
P - God help me to not have a grumbling spirit but be full of Gratitude! Your blessings are endless and I praise you for that!
