S - Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Don't worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:4-7
O - Rejoice always. Paul says it twice to put more emphasis on it...Rejoice! God is near. The peace of God overcomes every thought...we should be consumed by peace not our worrisome thoughts and be focused on God.
A - I quote these verses all the time. I have our students quoting these verses whey they worry. But with Scripture it's not enough just to quote it, it's more than that - it is doing it. To know what the Bible says and then not do it is sin. We have comfort in knowing God's instructions and knowing that they are for our benefit, our best. So I must not worry but instead pray, let my need, my request be known to God and then have confidence in the Lord to do as He says...give me peace.
P - Thank you Lord for Your word, Your instruction that brings peace. Father help me to be consistent in doing what Your word says. Help me to rejoice in You at all times.
