Karlyn: Peace day 3-5

This week has been everything but peaceful!  Rachel's dad's trailer was destroyed in a tornado early Thursday morning.  He was the only place hit in Sheridan.  Amazingly, he was inside and survived with minor injuries.  He has nothing left.

It's been a very busy week and I can't get last week's shooting out of my head.  I'm so thankful for the peace in my heart and that I can call on the Holy Spirit for comfort and restoration.

I hope all of you have a restful fun Christmas.  I love you all very much and I'm so thankful God gave you to me as friends, encouragers, mentors, and family.

S - Phillipians 4:4-7 Always be full of the joy in the Lord.  I say it again Rejoice!  Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do.  Remember the Lord is coming soon.  Don't worry about anything instead pray about everything.  Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.  Then you will experience God's peace, which exceed anything you can understand.  His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 1:20-21  As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream.  Joseph son of David the angel said do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife.  For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit.

John 14:27  I am leaving you with a gift peace of mind and heart.  And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give.  So don't be troubled or afraid.

O - Worry and fear can't accomplish anything Christ wants.  His peace in us and shown through us can show the world how awesome he is!

A - If the world would read these verses in Phillipians and Matthew and take them to heart how different a world we would live in.  His peace "exceeds anything we can understand"  I pray this for the families in Connecticut and for everyone who is hurting for any reason.  I'm ready for the Lord to come back but there are still so many who need him.  Friends family neighbors strangers, I'm heavy hearted today, but I will Rejoice and find my joy in him.

P - Lord thank you for the Peace that Jesus brings.  Show me today how to share that peace with those I'm with.  Thank you for providing what we don't understand to get us through what we can't do on our own.
