Good Monday Morning. Busy week here for us and we are still praying away the rain! HOpe everyone's weekend was super fun.
S - Luke 12:4-5 Dear friends don't be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot do any more to you after that. But I'll tell you whom to fear. Fear God, who has the power to kill you and then throw you into hell. Yes, he's the one to fear.
12:7 And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.
O - There are times I fear things of this earth and forget that God has the power to overcome any and all things. My perspective gets out of whack a lot because I can only see what's right before me. I can't imagine the fears that crept into the disciples hearts even though they experienced Jesus power in person. But we are so much more valuable than all of God's creations!
A - Steps to combat worry from the video 1. Pray 2.Memorize Scripture 3. Praise 4. Get moving
I woke up at 5:00 with worry this morning. It's a very busy day around here and Knox has been running fever since yesterday. I woke up and immediately began to worry about how to do all the things that had to be done today and take care of him. So I went to the couch and began to pray. I knew God had a plan but it took about 30 minutes of prayer for me to settle down my mind. I hate that I let worry overtake me but I'm thankful for the peace the Holy Spirit brings when I do turn my worry into prayers and surrender.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything instead pray about everything Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
P - Lord thank you for knowing I needed to read these verses today. Thank you for already working out some of my schedule issues today. Help me to continue to follow your lead today and not let worry overtake me. Please heal Knox today.
