Love Day 1
S- 1 John 4:7-8
Beloved, let us love one another for love is from God and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who doesn't love does not know God because God is love.
O- God loves everyone. This is sometimes hard for me. There are people in my life who make it very hard to love them. I know they probably think the same about me on certain days. ;) However, God still loves them so I need to do the same.
A- I've gotten better at this this year. Ever since my Sunday school class took a mission trip to New Orleans, I have been very intentional about finding people to serve and love. I have found that this is the best way to show God's love and tell them about the greatest gift they could have. Here in my city there are tons of homeless people and we have been really reaching out to them. There are 2 ladies that have come into my life Pam and Carolyn. No, I don't agree with the choices they have made in life, some of the things they are currently doing and partaking in but am called to love them. They know why and how I feel. I still need to reach out and show them God's love by doing what He would do. I guess the struggle I have is loving people and at the same time not condoning what they are doing. Does that make since? For example, Carolyn is a gambling addict. Sometimes its hard for me to help her when I know she has taken her goverment check, gone to the boats, and asks for help.
P- Lord, I pray that I will see people like you do. That I will love them like you would. Help me not to judge, have faith, and step out. Especially help me to show love when it comes to my family. Honestly, this is sometimes the hardest with certain family members. Thank you for loving me as am.
