Ginny - LLJ Week 2, Day 1

S - Luke 10: 2-3 And He was saying to them, The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Go; behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves.

O - In my world we call that custom work.  I've got guys that do custom work for others or they themselves hire out custom work.  Basically what it means is you have the piece of equipment and another farmer hires you to come over and run your equipment on his land to do whatever he needs done and then he pays you for it.  You can do custom spraying, bailing, grubbing, planting, digging peanuts, stripping cotton, whatever it may be.  If someone has a need, and you have the equipment & time, then you can custom.  There are lots of lost people in our world that have a need.  They need Jesus.  I have the equipment (the Bible & my own story of salvation) and I need to make the time.

A - How can I do some custom work for others this week?  Today's email challenges us to come up with a way to show love to a neighbor.  I am hoping my new neighbors come around this week and I can have a chance to introduce myself to them.  I've got something they need and I need to be telling them about it!

P - Lord I pray this week that my neighbors are easy to catch.  I pray I noticed opportunities to share Your love to them and others that live near me.

Karlyn, I am still praying for Holly & Taylor.  They are never far from my thoughts & prayers.  Please keep us posted.  Thank you for the prayers for races & paperwork.  Today was a very full day at work, but I kept it in perspective (that's a praise!).  I'm doing another half marathon on April 14th.  I am very excited because I am doing it with my mom!!!  We are going to walk it.  Saturday was my last long training walk and now I taper.  Thanks for thinking of me!

  1. That's such a perfect analogy!!!! Love it!
Christy and I are doing a 10K this weekend and neither one of us are very prepared so it's gonna be a FUN time! Christy needs prayers for wisdom and endurance in this race of life with Holly. Also Christy is trying to get hired in a different school district for next year. Prayers for that to happen sooner instead of later. Also, Staci is going to Ouachita in the fall!!!!
