Good Morning Girlz!!! Hope everyone had a great weekend! I found out Friday my sister is having a GIRL!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!
S - Luke 13:7-9 "And he said to the vineyard-keeper, ‘Behold, for three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree without finding any. Cut it down! Why does it even use up the ground?’ And he answered and said to him, ‘Let it alone, sir, for this year too, until I dig around it and put in fertilizer; and if it bears fruit next year, fine; but if not, cut it down.’”
O - These verses says to me - keep going, don't give up, keep trying. There are times that I just want to throw in the towel. I've tried all I can think of and nothing is working. I'm tired on not seeing results. These verses in Luke give me hope that Jesus wants me to keep going. Don't give up.
A - There are some prayer requests that I am committed to for the long haul. I will not give up praying for these people and I pray that one day my prayers are answered. I also need to be reminded of perseverance in the area of healthy eating & exercise. Sometimes I feel like it takes 10 million healthy decsions to lose one pound, but it takes one bad decsions to gain four pounds. Not fair! Wouldn't it just be easier to give up and just stop trying? There are definitely moments of weakness, but Luke 13 reminds to continue to give it time. Keep making those healthy decisions and you will eventually see results.
P - Lord I pray for perseverance to keep going. Keep being a good steward of what You have given me and keep giving my best.
They've got those girl genes flowing don't they!!!!! Side note...I want to know more about Jon!!
ReplyDeleteHello!!! So about Jon...he works for the USDA up in Lincoln. He works in what is called their National Agriculture Statisics Service (NASS). It's neat b/c I used their numbers in my job before I even knew about Jon. He specifically is over hogs and works with soybeans and grain. He is from a small town in northeastern Colorado called Stratton. He is still very involved in the family farm. They grow corn & wheat and use to run some cattle. There is still a family feedlot up there that they will help out with, but they don't have any more head themselves. He is one of 5. Mike, Jon, Tom, Savannah and Steve. I will get to meet everyone Memorial Day weekend. His family sounds great and I am anxious to meet his parents and everyone else. Mike is the only one married and Savannah got engaged this past Sunday. Jon also really likes to fly fish. So if he can miss some days at work and isn't needed on the farm, that's where he goes. He is a Christian and seeks the Lord. He's never been married, no kids. He did undergrad & Masters at OSU in Ag business and that is where he roomed with Justin who is Shelby's husband, that I got to know when I would go visit my friend Christi up in Colorado and it is Shelby that put Jon & I together. He's just pretty darn awesome. He also treats me really good. Far better than I deserve, but also exactly what I hoped for. So lots to be praising the Lord for!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I know y'all are all wondering...His last name is Hornung. It starts with a H, so totally goes against my theory, but I'm willing to compromise ;)
