S - vs 16 & 21 Here's 21 I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For is keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.
O - The end of this chapter echoes this truth several times. Paul was trying to make a huge point here. This is also a chapter I need to remember when I'm talking with someone about faith and not works gets you to heaven. I'm so glad that I don't have to live up to someones standards of "law" to get to Jesus! I'm so glad grace is the way. I'm also working on demonstrating more grace to my family and less law!
A - God's grace is everything and the more I show grace to those around me the more they will see Jesus and not depend on works!
P - Thank you Jesus for your grace. I don't deserve it but I'm so greatful you continue to give it to me all day long. Thank you for the opportunities to show grace to others. And thanks for the grace you give me when I'm not very willing to show it to others!
This reminded me about a quote in The Fitting Room when Kelly is talking about forgiveness and she says, "He (Jesus) wanted me to forgive this person because He wanted me to know who He is - a God of forgiveness." As we show forgiveness, or grace in your example above, we learn more about the person of God. Thanks for the post!
