S - vs 2 & 7 Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly, not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God.
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
O - I'm not sure who Peter is talking to in verse 2 but I think he's talking to the men in leadership of the church. However, I think we all can apply it to our positions in our churches. Too many times I focus more on who isn't helping and just a small group of us are doing all the work when I should really be more focused on who needs help or encouragement.
Verse 7 needs no explanation from me:)
A - When I begin to complain about the lack of help I will stop and see who I can serve first, who needs help, who needs encouragement, who needs prayer. We may not get more help but at least I will be constructive instead of destructive!
P - Lord thank you that we don't have to worry. So today I won't worry about rain or our crops, I will trust that you will provide the moisture we need at the right time. I pray for the members of our church. Lord help me see who I can serve and keep me mouth and mind from complaining!
