Ginny - TWM Day 22

Good Afternoon Girlz!!!  Oh my goodness my brain hurts!  My boss is out going on day #5 with shingles, and so I am having to play loan officer.  Give me a $250,000.00 combine to finance or a 4 million dollar operating note to put together and it is smooth sailing, but give me a $33,000.00 pickup note to refinance and I have questions at every turn!  I'm exhausted!

S - Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.  Titus 2:3 NIV

O - Slander is to speak evil against someone.  Slander divides, brings bitterness, accuses, and so on and so on.  Slander is not an example of Christ's love.

A - Today was heavy!  Nancy makes a lot of good points today.  Lots of stuff that I need to spend a lot of time thinking about and reflecting on.  To help my brain make a little more sense of all Nancy had to say, I want to start by just making a list of the 7 suggestions for controling slander:

1.  Humble myself
2.  Put off all slander and evil speaking
3.  Put on a heart and words of kindness and love and forgiveness and grace
4.  Bring my thought life under the control of the Spirit
5.  Talk less
6.  Think before I speak
7.  Refuse to listen to slander or gossip about others

All of these areas I could work on, but #3 is the one that sticks out the most to me.  It deals with having mercy and I'm not good at mercy.  Slander is a heart issure more than a verbal issue for me.  Need work here!

P - Heavenly Father You care about my heart, and I know that what is in my heart is what comes out of my mouth.  Lord, please help me to have a heart that wants to see the best in others and wants to help them become the best they can be.

Karlyn - How was the doctor's appt?  Did you ask all your questions?

Thank y'all for the prayers for Amy.  Things are pretty much the same although they did find her low in B12, so maybe that will help find a solution.  Please keep the prayers coming.  I am hopeful a fix will be found!  Also, please pray for my boss, Jay.  He has shingles and is in a lot of pain.  Thank you gals!  Love you ALL!
