Happy Monday Morning! We had a great weekend it was just too fast! We went to 2 fall festivals and have one more on Wednesday! I can't believe October is almost over. I hope everyone's week is starting great.
I go to the doctor tomorrow morning and I have a list of things to talk to him about! I haven't had a physical in 18 years so I guess I better get it all in!!!
S - Titus 3:4-8 But when the goodness and lovingkindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the HOly Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. So that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works.
O - You've got to have sound doctrine and then apply it to everything you do. The what and so what have to go together for the gospel to be believable in my life.
A - In the last 5 years I've been very aware of the importance of not believing that every Christian author and speaker is living and using sound doctrine. I've been much more picky about who I will read and listen to and who I suggest to others. I don't want anyone or myself to be confused by someone who isn't using sound doctrine in their teaching. Sometimes people get offended because I choose not to listen to some of the popular folks. I've just got to protect my mind because I can easily get swept up!
P - Lord thank you that your Word is the sound doctrine we judge everything else by. Help me to live it out and not just have the knowledge. Let your doctrine make the Gospel alive to others who are around me!
