Today has been fun with Staci!!! She looked beautiful. At my Sr. homecoming she was a newborn:)
Pray pray pray for Holly! She needs Christ to take all the junk and she's just not letting it happen. I love her so much and it's hard to watch her live in bondage.
S - Proverbs 31:13 She finds wool and flax and busily spins it.
O - Finds and does! That's what I see in this verse!
A few years ago I would have argued with Nancy's point of view in this passage. I knew I wanted to stay at home when I had kids but I didn't really know why. Over the past 5 years God has really worked on my heart and I have a totally different perspective than before. I'll try to keep this explanation short...God's Word is truth and in his word he clearly defines what he wants godly women to do. As a wife and mother I do believe my role at home comes first. I'm still a work in progress but I've been able to let go of some tight fisted ideas that i used to believe about my role as a woman.
A - My advice to teenage girls, college age women, and single women is this...if you believe that God is going to lead you to marriage some day you need to prepare your mind and heart for that. Yes college is a good thing but is that his plan for you or is that what the world tells you to do? If you choose college afterwards can you still prepare your heart to let go of a career and be a wife and mother if God leads you there. While dating someone can you let that person know what you believe God's standard is for a wife and mother and be on the same page? Because believe me when those babies come it rips your heart out if you have to leave them with someone else!
Anyway, this is definitely an area you have to give to much prayer and our world has ideas that don't match up to his standards!!!
P - God thank you that you work on all of us at different times in different ways. Thank you that you've allowed me to be at home with the kids you've blessed me with! This time has been priceless!
