S - Proverbs 31:8-9 Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes speak up for the poor and helpless and see that they get justice.
O - This was spoken by a mother to a son but I feel like it applies to anyone who is a believer in Christ. Part of my job to show others who Christ is means taking care of and helping those who cannot help themselves. My eyes have been opened in the last year to how much I ignore those who need help. There are plenty of people just in walking distance from my home.
A - I'm asking God today to open my heart to how I can serve someone in need today. Their needs could be prayer, friendship, money, helping them understand scripture, etc. I'm going to have to pray hard that I don't let my agenda and schedule get in the way. That is so easy for me to do.
P - Lord I pray for observant eyes and heart today. Help me to see your plan for my day and to follow the spirit's leading. Take away distractions and keep me focused on the important not the urgent.
