S-James 3:5, 3:9-10 "So also the tongue is a small part of the body and yet it boasts great things...With it we bless our Lord and Father and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God; from the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be."
O-Verses that I have read many times, but a good reminder. It's amazing how the Lord has given me Scripture every day this week about things I have been dealing with. This Scripture is very convicting and so true. The tongue is so small, but it can destroy any situation in a second, but on the other hand in a second it can build others up. We are very good at praising the Lord one minute and turning right around and tearing someone down the next.
A-I have been a very difficult time with my tongue in one particular especially. I do not agree with many things that occur and people here are only concerned with themselves. I get irritated and then I run my mouth to others. It is so wrong, but I just get so frustrated. I am no better than them, perhaps worse when I sit and talk. I have been feeling very convicted about it and I have tried and tried to do better, but seem to fall back into it when the next incident occurs.
P- Pray that the Lord will give me the strength to do better in the area of the tongue. I want to be one to build up, not tear down!
