Reading intentionally really changes your perspective!!!
S - Vs 13-18 I won't write all of it but here are the standout words for me...
If you are wise and understand God's ways prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. If I have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in my heart don't cover it up with lying. This isn't God's kind of wisdom. Wherever there is jealous and selfish ambition = disorder and evil of every kind. God's wisdom is pure, peace loving, gentle at all times, WILLING TO YIELD TO OTHERS, full of mercy and good deeds, shows no favoritism, always sincere.
O- I want all of those positive qualities in my life so bad, but I have to fight so hard against the jealousy and selfish ambition and willing to yield to others. In James 1 I said I wanted wisdom and I've never thought about wisdom in terms of purity, peace loving, gentleness, etc. it truly is the Fruit of the Spirit. My jealousy and selfish ambition is usually related to those close to me and not so much with everyone in my life. My strong competitive nature is what gets me in trouble instead of being peace loving and gentle.
A- To get God's wisdom I'm going to have to be aware of what triggers the jealousy and selfish ambition and make myself quote the above scripture to remind myself of what God's wisdom is.
P- A desire for an attitude and heart of peace, gentleness, mercy, sincerity, and a willingness to yield to others when needed. Instead of being selfish do "good deeds" so that I'm taking myself out of the picture and putting Christ in it.
Just in 3 days I feel renewed hope y'all do too!
