S- In the same way, older women are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not addicted to much wine. They are to teach what is good, so they may encourage the young women to love their husbands and to love their children, to be self controlled, pure, homemakers, kind and submissive to their husbands, so that God’s message will not be slandered.

O- Older Women are to be mentors. They are to be role models just like the men. They are to teach younger generation. And likewise they are to have women to look up too. There is one lady at my church who is a great example of this verse, June Moore (If you remember Karen and Janet Moore form OBU than its their mom) She is someone who I strive to more like. I do feel especially in my church that we have failed at this verse. There are very few older women who are actively searching out younger women to mentor. There in many situations in my life that I don't to talk with someone in my peer group, but need wiser advice (Someone who's been there and already has overcome).

A- I feel like I'm doing my best with this verse to my fellow peer group and the one below. However, there is no one older that I feel like I can talk to personally. I see them from a far and talk to them, but there is nothing deep. My friend Lauren and I are trying to get a mentoring program started at our church. There is a huge gap in our church between the older and younger women. The older I get the more I feel drawn to the older women.

P- Lord, help me to be an example and a mentor to the young women. Direct towards someone who would be the right fit mentor fit for me. Help not to hesitate about asking the person. Open the doors so this ministry can happen at our church. There are so many women who never had a Christian role model who could benefit from an older Godly woman.
