Ginny - Psalm 34

S - 34:18 "The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

34:8 "Oh taste and see that the LORD is good; how blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!"

O - What hope these two verses give! We can feel smushed to the core with no relief in sight, yet the moment we look up God is there. He never leaves, He is always right there. There is no weight too heavy that the Lord will not get below us and help us push up.

A - I can name 1 time in my life that I felt my heart was actually broken, but I can name a handful of times when I felt truly crushed. I'm so glad David used the word "crushed" - I can relate. Not in pieces, not wandering how I'm going to ever fix it and move on, but yet extremly tired, beaten down, and needing His strength for each step.

Psalm 34 is also near and dear to my heart b/c it is the Psalm that Karen and I prayed together through Beth Moore's Esther study. Karen was my Bible Study teacher and she is as scatter brained as they come, but I love her and yearn to know the Word of God as she does. That Esther study changed my life - literally. The Lord brought down many walls and I experienced freedom that I had never known before. Everytime I read Psalm 34 I think of Karen and the mighty work the Lord did in my life during that time. May I always stop to taste and see what the Lord has done!

P - First off, thank y'all for praying for me yesterday. I've been praying for y'all each morning as I huff and puff around my park. Well, I may get some Lady Gaga in too, but there are still prayers :) My prayer today is for strength to hold out. Perseverance for each step. Taste and see! Taste and See!

Love you girls! Hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
