S - NLT V 10 (speaking about slaves) or steal,but must show themselves to be entirely trustworthy and good.  Then they will make the teaching about God and our Savior ATTRACTIVE in every way.
      NLT V 14  He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.

O- In verse 10  Paul is talking about slaves but I think this applies to me too.  If i show myself to unbelievers to be trustworthy and good they will be attracted to the gospel.  I'm seeing more and more that most people aren't trustworthy.  And I've heard over and over from people at work that they just can't trust someone.  This shows me just how important it is for me to be trustworthy.  If I win someone's trust they will be more likely to want to know more about the gospel.  I love that this translation uses the word ATTRACTIVE.  When you're attracted to something you don't want to miss out.

V14 is a good reminder to me of just how huge a sacrifice it was for Jesus to die for me.  I take for granted that his death freed me from "every kind of sin".  There are some sins I still feel in "bondage" to.  But God's word told me this morning that I'm free from those sins and I need to live that out "totally committed to doing good deeds"

A - No matter what I'm doing the character of being trustworthy needs to shine through.  Especially at work where I'm surrounded by unbelievers.  I don't need to give them a reason to not be attracted to God's Word! 
Karlyn, let go of the sins you feel chained to, Jesus has already freed me from them and I need to live in freedom!  How can I expect others to live in his freedom if I still hold on to guilt and feelings of being chained to sin.

P - Lord I'm so grateful for your Son's sacrifice and for "freeing me from every kind of sin" and cleansing me.  Help me to live in that freedom to show others your grace and truth.  Show me how to be trustworthy in the small things and big things in life so that everyone around me is attracted to you!  Thank you thank you thank you for your sacrifice!
