S- James 1:5-8 NLT If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.
O- Well that explains everything in my life right now. "Unsettled as a wave of the sea blown and tossed by the wind", is how I feel. I've prayed for wisdom for a while now and haven't understood why I still felt unwise and now I know. My heart has been divided!
A- So, I get to start working on having a heart that isn't divided. If I want to be really honest with y'all that means a lot of the things I enjoy need to go out the window. TV being the biggest thing that is dividing my heart. Real real honesty...I know he's been asking me to give it up and I've been ignoring him.
If wisdom is more important to me and I know it is, I'm gonna need a lot of prayer!!!
P- Pray that my faith is stronger than my selfishness and can be aware of where my heart is divided.
