Karlyn - Philemon

S- Vs. 5-7  because I keep hearing of your trust in the Lord Jesus and your love for all of God's people.  You are generous because of your faith. And I am praying that you will really put your generosity to work, for in so doing you will come to an understanding of all the good things we can do for Christ.  I myself have gained much joy and comfort from your love, my brother, because your kindness has so often refreshed the hearts of God's people.

Vs. 19 I, Paul, write this in my own handwriting: "I will repay it." And I won't mention that you owe me your very soul!

O - I've been pretty blessed in my life with all the amazing women God has given me through the years that have been generous in their faith with me.  Y'all are some of those women.  You've given me comfort, joy, and lots of refreshment!  I've loved seeing and hearing how you do that in others lives too!  I want to continue to grow in these characteristics so I can "come to an understanding of all the good things we can do for Christ":)

I think vs. 19 is humorous!  Paul isn't being subtle at all about making sure Philemon understands his Biblical duty:)  I can't wait to meet Paul someday.

A-  What are the things in my life that keep me from being generous with my faith - definitely my selfishness.  I'm selfish with my time, my possessions, and my abilities.  I've worked hard on looking at others before myself but that stinkin' selfishness loves to creep up when I think I'm doing "good".

P - Father I can't thank you enough for Ginny, Cindy, Amber, Jenifer, and the other women you've put in my life!  You've used them to motivate me, convict me, and make me a better woman in Christ.  Help me to be generous with my faith so others will see you today!
